JF Roadside Service technicians respond to stranded drivers across Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, and the rest of Volusia and Flagler County. Calls come in around the clock, so shifts cover days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
A typical shift includes some mix of our five core services:
Tire changes — safely jacking the vehicle, swapping on the spare, and torquing lug nuts to spec on shoulders, in driveways, and in parking lots.
Jump starts — diagnosing a dead battery versus a failed alternator or starter, and getting the driver moving again.
Battery installation — testing, selecting, and fitting a replacement battery on site so the customer doesn't need a second trip.
Lockouts — opening a locked vehicle without damaging the door, lock, or window.
Fuel delivery — bringing enough fuel to reach the nearest station.
Between calls you keep your service vehicle stocked, log completed jobs, and communicate arrival times with dispatch and customers. Clear, calm communication with someone who is having a bad day is as much a part of the job as the tools.
1. Apply online. The Apply Now button opens our driver application. It asks for your contact details, licence type, driving history, and availability.
2. Phone conversation. We call to talk through your experience, the shifts you can cover, and which parts of our service area you live near.
3. Background check and drug screen. Both are required before a start date, along with a copy of your driving record.
4. Paid training. New technicians ride along with an experienced team member and learn our procedures for each service, our safety practices on the roadside, and how we communicate with customers and dispatch.
